Stuffed Animal Shelves

I got this idea off of Pinterest, I have been looking for something cute, and usable for this wall in Aubri's room since her Birthday. I redid all of her decor in her room from a gender neutral nursery to a cutesy big girl room, lots of bright fun colors and flowers and such anyways this wall got left blank besides her name which has been done since she was born.

Stuffed Animal Shelves Supply List:
2x6x12 board I got mine at Home Depot for 7 bucks :) they will cut it too, I cut mine into 4 foot sections
D-Rings, either Walmart or Joanns I think they are less than 2 bucks for a 4 pack
Fabric, I just used scraps from her bedding, 4 inches is what I did but I would do 3 if  I did this again
Paint, I used the paint we are using on her play kitchen

I painted the boards one coat let them dry then sewed my strips, I did 12 strips 6 of each fabric I liked you could just do 6 8 in strips, sew them right sides together on both sides leave the ends open, flip so right sides are showing slide your DRing on and then close your circle, continue until all stripes are sewn.

Measure and hang up, I eyeballed mine and am going to have Bryce maybe reinforce my nails so it does not fall off the wall, cuz as you can see Aubri's crib is right under them.

Covers for the Quiet Book

I did the covers finally :) I used the same flannel and just covered the canvas and made little handles, then on the front cover I hot glued buttons in the shape of an A for Aubri. Enjoy

Little Kid Aprons

 Little Girl Apron

 Double Sided :)

Little Boy Apron, this one is also double sided same fabric though.

These aprons were really easy I complicated things for myself by doing the doubled sided thing but I love mine that is double sided so I had to do it!! Plus I had the extra fabric too.

Step 1: Pick out Fabric you will need a half yard for the whole apron, but to change it up you can get 2 half yard pieces. Note: A fourth yard piece is not big enough unless you want a seam. you will also need thread.

Step 2: come to my house to get a copy of the pattern :) and see the finished piece!!

Step 3: cut out pattern, and begin pinning. When pinning I did the ties and the ruffle in between the bodice and left the top open on the girls to flip, then top stitched the neck piece and neckline. For the boys I pinned the neck piece and the ties in between the bodice, and left a small opening on the bottom to top stitch.

Step 4: Sew and flip! Enjoy

Old McDonald Felt Puppets

I originally was going to make a couple sets of these to give out to my nieces and nephew, but once I was finished I was not about to let go of them or make another set. These are super cute.

The reason I do not want to make anymore is because of all the smaller details, I have a Black Friday sewing machine so it is really picky and thus being said I was unjamming the machine a majority of the time. However don't let that stop you from making these, Aubri has been able to play with them a couple times before I decided they were going to be for her instead, and she loves them.

Step 1: Gather materials you will need felt and thread easy peasey.

Step 2: go to the following website and it has the free patterns, and instructions on how to sew these cute little puppets.

Aubri's Quiet Book

Aubri can take the signs off and put them back with velcro.

Flower pot she can button the flowers on and off as well as tie the bow on the pot.
Gumball machine counting the gumballs snap on and off.

Mail box she can write a letter and mail it off and receive letters too.
Tick Tock Clock the hands on the clock move so she can learn different times.

Build your own burger, the pieces snap on and off.
Tie the ballet slipper.

Basic shapes and colors, they snap on and off.
Piggy Bank she can put money in it and take it out.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom this might be my favorite page, the letters velcro on and off and she can store them in the treasure chest. great way to learn the alphabet.

Dress up dolls, they have several pieces of clothes that velcro on and off and can be stored on the clothes line.

Paints these snap on and off for color recognition, there will also be a paint brush so she can pretend paint.
Braid the hair, in the pocket are lots of different hair ties bows etc.

Mr Potato Head his eyes button on and off everything else is velcro, and you can store the extra pieces in the back pack that clips open.

Barn peek a boo animals that turn into cute finger puppets.
Bead Counter, learn to count

Mrs Potato Head her eyes button on and off as well and the rest are velcro, you can store her extra pieces in the purse which button and zips open.

Tie the football laces, great for beginner shoe lace tiers to practice with.
Fruit matching colors and foods learning.

Cookies the cookies are button on and off and will be able to be transported to the baking sheet with a spatula that is not finished yet.

Last but not least the lady bug, inside her zipper are some black dots for Aubri to button onto the baby lady bugs.

Holy Moly I am so glad to be practically finished with this book! When I first started I was thinking this was going to fast easy project now a month and a half later I am almost completely finished :) I have the front and back covers to do then I will be finished, maybe :)

I have to tell you there is no way I can go through and explain how I did this project, but I can give the website where I got most of my FREE patterns for the book, and the supply list.

1: Get your materials I used felt in mine basically because it's cheaper and because I am not an artist, the majority of quiet books are made out of pellon. I watched the Joann's ad and got my felt 4/$1 so I stocked up got several different colors that I knew I would use. You will also want lots of buttons, snaps, clips, zippers, yarn, googly eyes, little clothes pins, string, beads, etc. I based my book out of flannel and canvas, I used coupons on these because of the prices, yikes! I got them at Joann's as well. Can I just say that I love Joann's way better than Roberts :)

2: I spent many a hour online searching for quiet book templates and patterns, the best site I can give you is one that has a ton of other blogs listed on it with a link to view the finished quiet book as well as some basic how to with the pattern.
