Baby Girl Bow Holder

Fun Simple and Easy Bow Holder.

I made this out of an old picture frame fabric scraps and hot glue :)

I shredded my fabric into long skinny strips and tied them together then simple wrapped them around the frame. I then hot glued the strips into the center and hot glued a picture hanger onto the back. Love the way it turned out :)

Baby Blanket (Boyish)

Here is the more boy version of the baby blanket :) I think I might like this one a little more. I might be a little excited though my sister's baby is a BOY and  we are all so excited there are 6 granddaughters and no grandsons this will be the first :)

Baby Blanket

I made this blanket for Brandi's baby boy, however when I finished it I decided it was not boyish enough for me so now this blanket is going to be for a good friend's baby girl! I have made these blankets before but I never liked them as much as when other people make them so I searched Pinterest and found the tutorial and fixed what I was doing wrong! Here is the website http://thecraftyblogstalker.blogspot.com/2011/12/minky-rag-quilt.html

Their blanket I believe is a twin size so I only got 1 1/2 yards of each minky and flannel, then I choose 6 different cottons and got 1/3 of each of those. I then followed the rest of the steps from their site and ended up with a blanket approx 36x36 :)

I had about 24 squares left so I decided to buy some more fabric and make a more boyish blanket. (In progress) Pictures to come soon :)

Baby Bows

I babysit the cutest little baby girl ever, she has a head of hair that is crazy and out of control I LOVE IT!! I tried putting it in piggy tails but her hair is so fine I didn't dare finish, I used some of Aubri's old headbands and bows, but it didn't look right. I remembered seeing these bows on Pinterest and my aunt taught us how to make them on Thanksgiving so I finally sat down to make some. I think they turned out so cute and they look so cute on the baby :)

The 3 flowered one is basically hot glued rolled strips of fabric on felt.
The single flower is a strip of fabric bunched together as I was sewing.

Lots of fun and they are fast and easy too.

Potty Training... Yikes

Aubri just turned 18 months old and is already showing signs of wanting to POTTY TRAIN, I have been researching and studying different techniques for this for a couple weeks now and I think I have settled on the 3 day session!! Anyways I don't want to start her off right away with big girl panties because she is so young I know there will be lots and lots of accidents, I found this pattern for training panties on Pinterest and since regular training pants are so expensive I thought I would give these a shot I love love love how they turned out!!
We are going to probably start training at the end of the month, I am going to throw a big girl party where she will get the training pants the potty books and sticker chart and see the rewards, then once she has succeeded in the training we will throw another Big girl potty party where she will get a big reward as well as big girl panties!! Wish us luck :)

Thanks to  homesweethomebodies.blogspot.com for her free pattern

I made 9 training pants for less than $4 bucks, How did I do it?

I used old shirts I was giving to DI fabric scraps, I bought clearance elastic 5 yards for $1 and then 2 packets of doubled fold bias tape $1.79 I used 40% off coupons on these !!

Aubri's Christmas Present

Hot Pink and Zebra Kitchen!!!

Aubri loves this thing. I found the idea on Pinterest (of course) and together Bryce and I made it our own little project.

We used an old entertainment center (thanks Trevor and Shawni) Old fridge handles old faucet, mixing bowl plexiglass and paint and fabric. This project was a lot of fun, and is so much fun to play with!

Aubri does not quite understand everything but she will grow into it!

Thanks to http://betterafter.blogspot.com for your cute idea
